Lifting your mood Are you feeling low and a bit down? Perhaps too many blue days are around right now? Here's something to help. We've been through such a lot. Really bad things are happening out there in the world and we're reading, hearing and watching all kinds of horrible things. Lots of us are worried about money about our health and about the health and wellbeing of those we love. So how do we raise our spirits. And how do we try to keep them up there, so that we can get out there and do the things we want to do do? Well here is what I try do every day of the week.  Every morning I write what a lot of people call Morning Pages. I write about 500 words in my journal about positive things that I really like.  I try to write about small things that I might see in a day that bring me joy. Just one of those days when you wake up feeling down. It might be the weather. It could be something that happened yesterday that made you feel bad. It isn't a serious issue but just for today you feel down.  What can you do? Here are my tips for dealing with the odd dark day. First try to workout why. Be very honest with yourself. If there is something you need to put right, then commit to doing it and make the first step. It will help you to feel better. Occupy yourself with simple work – cleaning or sorting out the admin in the office is great for this.    We all feel down sometimes.   I’m talking about those days when something has gone wrong or those odd days when you just wake up feeling down.    I'm not talking about depression here!  If it is happening on more than the odd day, then please have a word with your doctor because depression can strike anyone of us and you will need help to overcome it!  But let us assume you are not ill, you just feel down today. First of all understand that it is OK and perfectly normal to feel down now and then.  It may just mean that you need to take a rest.  Anyway, if you just want to feel brighter, try on these simple techniques to raise your mood.
